SLAM POEM
For all of us are born with a decision,
A decision to get into this world,
However the decision was not ours,
But what was given to us,
We have never questioned his decision,
For making us who we are,
Then who are we to decide? for those like us,
Who also fall short of this super power,
Yes I agree, we’ve not just made decisions but conclusions,
That they don’t belong here,
They don’t belong in our families,
Not only on the streets but also in our societal dreams,
We do not take the blame, of pushing them into sex trade,
We do not take the blame, for why they’re jobless and do not have shade,
But yes, we take pride in the name of religion,
To make a stupid decision for what was already decided,
That even when we want them to bless us,
We show them why we don’t deserve this gain and high end,
For when have we not disgraced their presence?
Be it schools, colleges or even at work places,
And then we totally judge them that they strip down naked,
Oh, how would you feel? When you’re completely disowned,
To an extent you do not know how to own,
Not only yourself but also relationships,
I’m sorry I forgot to mention,
The basic necessity,
A sense of reputation to wear, made with the fabrics of society,
You know, you and me can put this to an end?
By being more of a human than the humans we bear,
By not using ‘hijra’ as a cuss word,
Or getting scared,
By telling them they’re like us,
We are a part of them,
For being impotent and feminine has so much more dignity,
Than making decisions by being decision-impotent.
To your decision making side,

STATISTICS ABOUT TRANSGENDERS
“To those who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender-let me say- you are not alone. You're struggle, for the end to violence and discrimination, is a shared struggle. Today, I stand with you. And I call upon all countries and people, to stand with you too.
A historic shift is underway. We must tackle the violence, decriminalise consensual same sex relationships and end discrimination. We must educate the public. I call on this council and people of conscience to make this happen.
The time has come.”
- Ban Ki Moon
Former United Nations secretary general
The life of a transgender person, be it in the U.S. or anywhere in the world, can be unfathomably challenging and overflowing with segregation. But it can moreover be happy, triumphant, and transformative—not fair for the person, but for those who cherish and acknowledge them. Thanks to the likes of Caitlyn Jenner and Laverne Cox, the numbers of Americans who drop into that final camp are developing. But we still have a long way to go on the mindfulness front. Here, a see at the scene of being transgender nowadays. These numbers and measurements deliver you as it were a see into the community—this is domain that inquire about, science, and society are as it were on the cusp of breaching. But at slightest we've started.
